BUCS Play allows you to assign or change the home and away kit colours for your institution as a whole or for a particular team. The kit colour will then be shown when looking at the fixtures and results of your team.
The process of assigning kit colours can only be done on the desktop version of BUCS Play. Kit colours can be displayed and switched between home and away within the app.
Assigning kit colours to your Institution
This process can be completed by Institutional Administrators (IAs).
By assigning a kit colour to your institution as a whole, you will automatically set the kit colour of all teams who have not set their own specific colour.
1. Click on the 'Dashboard' button.
2. Navigate to the 'Institution Mgmt' tab.
3. Click on the Kit you would like to change globally for you institution.
4. Select a Kit Design and a Primary Colour for your kit.
5. Click 'Save' to save your Kit Design.
6. Repeat steps 3-5 for the alternate kit.
Assigning Kit Colours to a whole community
This process can be completed by Institutional Administrators (IAs).
1. Click on the 'Dashboard' button.
2. Navigate to the 'Institution Mgmt' tab.
3. Filter to the Sport Community you wish to change the kit colours for and click Go.
4. Click the blue bar containing the Sport Community name.
3. Click on the Kit you want to change.
4. Select a Kit Design and a Primary Colour for your kit.
5. Click 'Save' to save your Kit Design.
6. Repeat steps 3-5 for the alternate kit.
Assigning Kit Colours to specific teams
This process can be completed by Institutional Administrators (IAs) and Captains.
If a teams kit is different to the institution or community as a whole you may want to change the kit colour of individual teams.
1. Navigate to the relevant Sport Community.
2. Find the relevant team using the 'Find Teams' search and click the tile of the Team in question.
The Team Hub will pop up which will allow you to select your home or away kit .
3. Click on the Kit you want to change.
4. Select a Kit Design and a Primary Colour for your kit.
5. Click 'Save' to save your Kit Design.
6. Repeat steps 3-5 for the alternate kit.
Switching kits for specific fixtures (on App)
This process can be completed by Institutional Administrators (IAs) and Captains to switch between your home and away kit colours for specific fixtures.
1. Login to the BUCS Play app.
2. Find your Sport Community by clicking My Play (bottom menu) and selecting the relevant Sport Community amongst the list of existing Sport Communities you have joined at the top. You can also do this by going to More > My Communities. If you have not yet joined the Sport Community you are looking for, follow these steps here.
3. Once you reach the Sport Community, scroll down to the Teams section and click on your team. This will open the Team Hub.
4. Under the Upcoming Fixtures section at the bottom of the Home tab, select the date of the relevant fixture.
5. Next, click 'Team sheets'.
6. Click 'Switch kit' under the kit you are switching.
