All event entries take place through BUCS Play. The full list of events can be found on the BUCS website by Clicking Here. You will be able to find the entry information, entry deadlines and entry opening dates by viewing the specific event page.
Standard Event Entry Process
Once an event's entries open, participants will be able to apply to enter for their institution prior to the entry deadline (Click here for more info on how to apply). The Institution Administrators (IAs) will then approve these entries via their Dashboard (Click here for more info on the approval process).
After the event has taken place, you will find the results/standings within the same Events section on BUCS Play.
These tasks can all be performed either via the BUCS Play mobile app or desktop platform.
Events using Team Entries
We run a number of team events during the year which utilise Team Entries, as opposed to the standard event entry process. This includes team events such as the Lacrosse 6s Championships, Rugby 7s Championships, Handball Championships, Korfball Championships, Canoe Polo Championships, etc.
Institution Administrators (IAs) will submit the team entry during the entry window for each event (for further information, Click Here).
Once the team entry is submitted, students will then apply to join the team to confirm who is competing and ensure they have provided essential information such as Emergency Contact Information prior to the event (for further information, Click Here.)
Institution Administrators can set up Captains who can approve the team members and add them into the squad for the event or the IA may add the team members into the squad themselves (for further information, Click Here).
